Picked up some food here after work for carry out. Very friendly Takeout staff Takeout has his own section so you're not walking to the bar or walking through a crowd to get carry out. The food was great. One of the orders was a double crabcake platter, which was priced still below another place that I went to, and very tasty pasta was great overall was a good experience
This restaurant was on my list for places to try their crab cakes and they were great. Very little filler and big chunks of crabmeat. You have to ask for sauces. We got the cocktail and some horseradish. Both were good but horseradish had a great punch which was perfect with the crab cake. Got the Cole slaw and Jack knife potato. Did not care for the potato. Also ordered the Louisiana penne which had blackened shrimp and chicken and mushroom. It was very tasty and garlic bread was delicious. Service was excellent too.
I usually come for "Oprah's Favorite Crab Cakes," but today, we tried some other entrees. We started with the Seafood Sampler appetizer and the Zucchini Boat (stuffed with Italian sausage and topped with a hefty portion of cheese). The appetizers were good, hot and tasty. I got the New York Christopher (sirloin topped with Crab Imperial) with a side of fries and green beans. The fries were crispy and the beans were surprisingly delicious! I'm not one to eat green beans, but needed some more veggies in my diet - these were a delight to have. I also had a side salad, which was average, but I liked that they make their own ranch Friend ordered the lambchops which were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. After the starters, we weren't able to finish our entrees, so we took the rest home. Our server was very nice, but a little busy. We chatted for a bit and she noted that it's not usually that crowded [on a Wednesday night], so she was a little overwhelmed. Other than that, service was great and we enjoyed our meal.
I stopped in on a Saturday late afternoon, and was seating immediately, I ordered mermaid water for my drink took a few minutes for my drink but it was made nice n strong , I ordered the seafood platter comes with orange roughy, shrimp , scallops and of course a crab, crab cake didn't have a lot of filler but mine could have cooked about 2 minutes more , my waitress was very attentive, plenty of parking near , I would visit again and try the specials out.
